Virgil Segal’s first Début Jazz Trio EP,
featuring three compositions (in French) and two Jazz standards.

I am a singer-songwriter, composer, audio-engineer & producer.
With a peculiar form of Jazzy-Funky-Brasilis Syndrome.

Born in France, pampered in Guadeloupe.
Schooled up in the US. Cooled down in Wien.
Berlin today.
I play too many instruments and speak in tongues.
I am a geek for gears, love to compose, record, mix, and master.
And again.

Berlin, October 2016: The constellation was just too good.

Brian Trahan freshly arrived from Brooklyn.
We were introduced by another multi-talented and amazing pianist from Brooklyn : Eric Pan.
Brian revealed his own skills. A wonderful pianist in his own right, and all around musician, singer-songwriter, composer. Class A recording and mix engineer. And a very promising record producer by all means.
Full of talents and positive energy.
I had to ask him for help, and he said yes.
I summoned the Rythm and Groove Prophet, Nir Sabag, and the great Gianfranco Coppola.
They were available.

We had just recorded Mr. Pan’s Travel Poems, a few weeks earlier.
And magic was in the air.
